OEM Oil Change Kit – Ingenium 2.0L I4 Petrol/Gas

If you own a Land Rover or Range Rover powered by the 2.0-liter Ingenium I4 turbocharged petrol/gas engine, this is the oil change kit built specifically for your Rover. The Ingenium P250 is one of JLR's most widely deployed powerplants, found across the Range Rover Evoque L538 and L551, Discovery Sport L550, Range Rover Velar L560, Defender 90 and 110 L663, and the full-size Range Rover L405. Every one of those Rovers shares the same oil service requirements, and this kit covers all of them with everything you need to do the job completely and correctly.

The centerpiece of the kit is eight quarts (7.6 liters) of Castrol EDGE 0W-20 full synthetic motor oil. Castrol is Land Rover's official factory lubricant partner, and the EDGE 0W-20 formula is co-engineered alongside JLR powertrain teams to meet the demanding requirements of the Ingenium engine architecture. The Ingenium uses a computer-controlled variable oil pump, roller bearings on cam and balancer shafts, and electronically controlled piston cooling jets, all of which demand a precision-grade low-viscosity oil to function correctly. The cartridge-style filter is housed inside the engine's oil cooler and filter assembly and is responsible for stripping contaminants from the oil before they reach the bearings, camshafts, and internal clearances that keep this engine running smooth. A fresh O-ring is included to ensure the filter housing seals properly and does not weep oil after installation. Also included is a new OEM drain plug complete with its integrated sealing O-ring.
